EN certification in accordance with DIN 10524 covers specific requirements for design, function and fabric in workwear used by the food sector. According to the certification, workwear in the food sector must be hygienic and clean for reasons of consumer protection. The products are tested in accordance with the requirements for hidden press stud fastenings, that the clothing reaches the neck and that there are no external pockets on the tops. In the EU, companies that handle food must work in accordance with the HACCP principles. HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points. This is a standardised method that analyses and checks safety risks in the food sector.
